They offer solutions and work with many types of organisations, from small entrepreneurs to large multinationals.Job DescriptionYou will bring a strategic vision for category development and a proven track record in sourcing, purchasing and assortment strategy.Lead the overall supplier relationship management across the 10 markets, including Vendor selection, negotiation, tender process, benchmarking and performance evaluation.Define assortment review, negotiation cycles and lead vendor negotiations, improving purchasing costs, contractual agreements, rebates and supply chain efficiencies to optimize profitability and sales growth.Negotiation of all purchasing conditions (contract T&C, programmes, pricing) for common vendors and products.Translate the category, assortment and vendor strategies into an annual operating plan, including assortment, sales, profitability and vendor targets.You will own the own brand assortment for the category, defining the products, vendors, tender cycles, negotiations and supply performance to ensure own brand products are driving growth and profitability across all markets and are available on time, to the agreed specifications.Lead the identification, development and roll-out of category-specific service solutions.Stay abreast of industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitive dynamics.Manage all forms of contractual agreements, ensuring they are maintained, stored and communicated to relevant stakeholders.Build strong relationships internally and externally, influencing key stakeholders to execute all assortment and vendor plans on time.Recruit, lead, manage and develop the category team.The Successful ApplicantDriven by the desire to achieve outstanding results, you will be relentless in your approach to deliver best practice and you will thrive in a pressured environment.You will have a proven track record of developing and executing successful sourcing and purchasing strategies that drive sales and profitability as well as being able to analyse statistics and spot trends.You must be a good communicator at all levels, with the ability to influence othersA strong team player who can build relationships with stakeholders across geographically dispersed participants, where there is no direct management line of responsibility.Have strong organisation (anticipation, planning and reporting) skills.Strong commercial skill set, with the ability to turn data-driven facts into opportunities.At least 5 years' experience in sourcing, purchasing, category management in a similar position or in a procurement role with an international B2B/retail company.Multi-channel environment experience.Experienced in leading, managing, developing and recruiting a team.Excellent spoken and written English is mandatory.
